Migrant Education Program/EL Tutor

Job Summary:  

Provides support to Migrant and English Learners in the development of language skills and content knowledge 

Reports to: 

Principal and Director of Student Support Services 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Tutors students under the direction of identified staff (i.e. Migrant Coordinator, ESL teacher, general education teacher) for the purpose of providing ongoing support in the completion of assignments 
• Supports small groups of students/individuals in content area subjects with guidance from identified    staff members 
• Administers classroom assessments and reviews homework assignments with students to support general education teachers in the classrooms 
• Conveys information to students and/or parents in their native language

Should also be willing to obtain a bus drivers license.
